Beginning Thursday until July 24, cult classic Earthbound will be 40% off its usual price, bringing the title which has never been released in Europe until last year down to 6 euros or 4.20 pounds, while the usual price is 10 euros or 6 pounds.
In a recent interview, Sony Worldwide Studio president Shuhei Yoshida stated that rival Nintendo provides balance in a world where first-person shooters are all the rage. See his quote below:
“I was very happy to get a very positive reaction when we announced LittleBigPlanet 3. We are concerned a little bit when we work on a game like LittleBigPlanet 3, about how people will react, because people want those big-budget, realistic, military shooters. But there were lots of cheers, a lot of affection.”
“And the reaction to Nintendo’s games in general, or a game like Splatoon. If you look at the whole industry, and you consider Nintendo, I think the balance is actually better than past years.”
Best Buy will be running a B1G1 promotion for first-party 3DS games tstarting next Sunday. First-party means any game developed by Nintendo directly, such as Zelda or Mario. If you aren’t sure, check with the staff if a game is eligible. Also, the Wii U Pro controller will be 20 bucks off to $29.99.
Ahead of today’s announcement, an AOL.com video showcases the latest Tekken 7 fighting game before it’s announced. While we don’t have much on it (and the video is now “Tekken” down), it’s positive news for Tekken fans, though which platforms it will launch on is unconfirmed.
“With Unreal Engine 4, we can rapidly achieve the visual quality expected on next-gen platforms and go beyond it,” Tekken series producer Katsuhiro Harada is quoted as saying in the video. “Not only is Unreal Engine 4 powerful and easy to use, but it allows us to easily bring Tekken 7 to any platform we desire.”

Delay. Just like how only the Wii U version of Watch Dogs was delayed, this multiplatform racing title will launch for Wii U in 2015 while the others lie PS4 and PC will get later this year.
The 3DS title is dated for October 11 this year while it will release in the West as Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate in early 2015.
